Answers to last semester's practice exam 2

Homework:
Homework assignments will be due every Wednesday at the *beginning* of class. No late homework will be accepted without documented medical excuse.

Quizzes: There will be a brief quiz every Wednesday at the beginning of class. This will consist of one problem from the homework and one other problem related to the covered material. In addition unannounced quizzes are always a possibility, especially if your instructor thinks that attendance is low or that you are goofing off.

Computer Lab: Don't know yet, stay tuned.

Office Hours: You are encouraged to attend office hours so that you may obtain individually focused attention from your instructor. You may also make an appointment to meet with your instructor at other mutually convenient times.

Changes in the Syllabus: Syllabus changes announced in class and posted on this webpage are become official immediately.

Makeup Exams: Require documented medical excuse.

Exams
: There will be two one hour exams, in the classroom or the math testing center.

Grade Scale:
The grade scale will be 90-100% A, 80-89% B, 70-79% C, 60-69% D, modified according to how much compassion your instructor can gather. This will depend on a variety of factors, including how hard he thinks that he made the exams and quizzes, and how hard he thinks the class is working.
