Abstract.

This talk offers a variety of arguments for why legal policymakers, charged with regulating the behavior of large populations of human animals in ways that further democratically percolated social goals, can benefit from knowing more about behavioral biology.  In particular, the paper explores various utilities in law of knowing something about the effects of evolutionary processes (including natural and sexual selection) on human brains, human psychology, and human behavioral predispositions.
