The Mathematics and Cognition will
present our next lecture on Tuesday, November 19, at 12:15 PM in ERC 593.
Our speaker will be Professor Morris Goldberg,
who will speak on the topic:

"A Roadmap of Biological Thinking for the Design of Intelligent Systems"

Abstract.
The purpose of this lecture is to present an overview of current thinking in various disciplines of biology covering areas such as, evolution, neurology and various forms of psychology, with particular emphasis on how these disciplines can provide models for designing new classes of intelligent systems. The attendee will walk away with a map showing how these disciplines relate to one another, their methodologies, and their applicability to engineering vision - based intelligent systems.
