Tesis:
Proyectos de Tesis de Doctorado
1. Desarrollo de un programa para resolver la ecuacion de Poisson por los
metodos del gradiente conjugado y multimalla. Aqui se pretende desarrollar
dos programas para resolver la ecuacion de Poisson en tres dimensiones
y compara la efectividad y rapidez de solucion entre ellos.
Requisitos: Conocimiento de ecuaciones diferenciales parciales del
tipo eliptico y metodos numericos, en particular los metodos de diferencias
finitas.
2. Estudio de corrientes gravitatorias tridimensionales y el efecto de la
rotacion. Se pretende hace simulaciones numericas tridimensionales y compara
los resultados con experimentos para revelar el efectos que la rotacion
tiene en este tipo de flujos.
Requisitos: Conocimiento de mecanica de los fluidos y metodos numericos.
3. Analisis de la turbulencia en un bloque por medio de DES y LES.
El proyecto pretende analizar la separacion masiva del fluido que ocurre
en este tipo de flujo abierto. Este estudio tiene un impacto importante
en el entendimiento del desprendimiento de la capa limite tanto turbulenta
como laminar en la dispersion de particulas contaminantes y determinar
la fuerza de arrastre (i.e. diseno de edificios).
Requisitos: Conocimiento de Turbulencia y metodos numericos.
Maestria:
1. Analisis de la posible solucion de la estabilidad no lineal en un anulo:
Se pretende analizar la posibilidad de expandir las variables primitivas
mediante el conjunto de vectores caracteristicos que se obtienen del analisis
de estabilidad lineal. El analisis del conjunto de vectores caracteristicos
pretende probar que este no es autonormal y que no forma un conjunto completo.
Requisitos: Conocimiento de estabilidad de los fluidos, transferencia
de calor y metodos espectrales.
2. Analisis de las perturbaciones asimetricas en una tuberia: Se analiza
los efectos de las perturbaciones no simetricas (n>0) para el flujo de
Poiseuille en una tuberia. Se pretende expandir la teoria analitica existente
para n=0 a perturbaciones asimetricas para obtener una relacion entre la
velocidad de grupo que relaciona las perturbaciones en el tiempo y el espacio.
Requisitos: Conocimiento de analisis de Fourier, variable compleja
y metodos espectrales.
