Instructor: Dr. Sharon Lohr, 965-4440, sharon.lohr@asu.edu

Time:  2:00-3:15 PM,  Monday and Wednesday

Location:  PSA 111

Line #:  16203

Credits:  3

Topics:  This course provides "hands-on" experience with statistical methods used in real-life problems. After a brief review of basic statistics, we explore multiple regression, analysis of variance, and other methods for analyzing multivariate data.  We also investigate commonly-used experimental designs such as completely randomized designs and randomized complete block designs.  We will use the free statistical software R, available at www.r-project.org; you will need to bring a laptop with R installed to the class meetings. Using R for statistical analyses will be taught as part of the course.

Prerequisite:  STP 420 or equivalent.  This course is not open to students who have taken STP 530 or STP 531.
