5/4 Reading Day
You are expected to read the applicable section(s) before coming to class, and to do the homework problems for that section after the class meets. The column labeled "Homework for Quizzes" contains problems that will be on in class quizzes. The column labeled "Turn in Today" lists problems that will be turned in that day to be graded. LATE HOMEWORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. HOMEWORK MUST BE TURNED IN AT THE BEGINNING OF CLASS TO THE TA IN ORDER TO RECEIVE CREDIT.

Final 250 pts C 70 – 79%

Calculators: You may use any calculator you like. A good choice for this course is the Casio fx-7400G Plus.
Disabilities: If you have any disability that may hinder your performance, please let me know as soon as possible.
Math Tutor Center: The math tutor center is located in PSA-116. You must have a valid ASU "Sun Card" in order to be admitted.
Exams: There are two mid-term and one final exam, each of which is worth 250 points. The exams are not comprehensive (ie. Test 1 is on ch. 1 and 2, test 2 is on ch. 3 and 4, and the final is on ch. 5 and 6). The mid-term exams will be in the testing center, and the final exam will be in the classroom on Wed., May 11, 7:40-9:30 AM . Make-up exams are at the discretion of the instructor.
Homework, attendance, and quizzes: As stated above, homework must be turned in to the TA at the beginning of class in order to receive credit. Attendance will be determined by the homework submitted. Quizzes will be given in class and will be based upon homework problems. NO MAKE-UP QUIZZES WILL BE GIVEN FOR ANY REASON.
Ethics: Please don't tell me why you need to pass this course or why you need an "A"; it is unethical. If you come to class and do the homework, you grade will take care of itself.
No individual requests for extra credit projects will be considered.
NOTE: THIS SYLLABUS MAY BE MODIFIED AT ANY TIME BY ANNOUNCEMENTS MADE IN CLASS.
