Making OpenOffice Icon in Linux:


Follow the following pictures below to make your own icons.

Use your mouse and right click on the front panel to see the following picture.

 

The following Dialogue Box appears next.

 

Fill in the fields as shown in the following image. While filling in the executable field you can type "/usr/bin/soffice"(without the quotes) directly into the text box

 

You can also click on the icon next to the textbox for the EXECUTIBLE field and manually select the executable by following the "/usr/bin/soffice" path

 

Now to select an appropriate icon for OpenOffice click on the button shown below

 

Here select the relevent icon for OpenOffice (type "star"[without the quotes] in the search field).

 

Select the icon and Click OK .

 

You can see the icon on the front panel. If you click on it, OpenOffice will open automatically.
