Dr. Lopez has research interest in the computation of vortex dominated fluid flows, boundary layer flows, free surface flows. He uses and develops a variety of techniques to study the linear stability and nonlinear dynamics of these flows and their spatio-temporal dynamics. Close collaboration with experimentalists is an integral part of the research.
