Juan Lopez and his wife Marianne had a baby girl, Rose Eleanor  on November 19, 1998 at 12:46 p.m.  She was 7 lbs. 1 oz and 20 inches.
 

Awards
Dritan Zela (Graduate Student) has been honored as a  National Collegiate Mathematics Awards Winner, nominated by Eric Kostelich.

Anne Gelb (Professor) has been selected as an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellow.  She will be receiving a grant to support her research efforts.
